Bristol property values on the up?
Office space Bristol appears to have improved during the last three months, as the region of the South West has been tipped as an area that has performed very well.
According to property experts Nationwide, UK homes went up in value by 1.6 per cent in the initial quarter of 2010, when compared with the three months previous to it.
However, the South West area gave witness to a rise of 2.3 per cent, demonstrating that Bristol office rental property appears to be performing a lot better than would be expected.
Chief economist for Nationwide Martin Gahbauer said, "The first quarter of 2010 saw continued house price growth across most UK regions and all regions saw an improvement in their annual rate of change." He also added that year on year increases across the country had levelled at 8.8 per cent.
Having looked at these statistics, Simon Rubinsohn from the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors brought forward the notion that the trend appearing in the South of England had not been a surprise, and was likely to continue as the economy recovered.
